In the movie, A Beautiful Mind, young mathematician John Nash was possessed about finding the "governing dynamics" of everything. Once, when in a bar with his friends, he spotted a blonde girl with her set of friends.
While all his friends vied for the blonde's attention, Nash came up with the mathematical theory of getting laid.
In simple words, this is what he reasoned out: "If we all go for the blonde and block each other, not a single one of us is going to get her. So then we go for her friends, but they will all give us the cold shoulder because no on likes to be second choice. But what if none of us goes for the blonde? We won't get in each other's way and we won't insult the other girls. It's the only way to win. It's the only way we all get laid."
This mathematical theory laid the foundations of Game Theory. It didnt only impact the world of statistics and economics, but it formed a new basis for international diplomacy and labour negotiations.
The key idea behind all the complex mathematical equations was: "we won’t get in each other's way and we won’t insult the other girls ..."
This is what the New Age Management is all about.
It is not about control or domination, but collaboration and nurturing.
It is not about forcing solutions on problems, but exploring problems in-depth, till they lead to innovative solutions.
It is not about adopting a "Management Technique" or following a "Management Guru". It is about coming up with your own techniques and be your own management guru.
It is for those who love to lead. It is for those who want to create their own style of management.
It is Artistic.
